Abstract
The invention relates to a vehicle differential, by which specific space problems are solved, when the central shaft of the vehicle is parallel to the longitudinal symmetry axis of the vehicle and at the same time it is at significant distance from that. The invention is based on the mounting of the conical ring (3) on the cage (4) of the differential in reverse position to that providedby the current state of the art û and in particular, so that the rear side of the conical toothing ofthe ring (3) faces the cage (4) and the front side, having the toothing, faces the opposite direction. By this way, the cage may be nearer to the middle of the distance between the two wheels, even if the position of the input shaft providing motionto the pinion (1) of the differential is at a significant distance from the middle of the vehicle. An advantage of the proposed arrangement of the present invention is the maximization of the length of equally sized half-axles (5,6). In a specificapplication of the present invention, the one side of the complex pair ring/cage is supported on the casing (1002) of the differential, at the side of the ring, by an input ball bearing (301), the outer side of which is received in a special configuration of the ring and the inner side around a specially configured carrier (42).
