Abstract

Novelty: an aid enabling the side-lying position of bedridden patients is disclosed. Technical features: the invention is composed of two rectangular parallelepiped sections: A) one compact plastic part (20x50x0,3cm) consisted of a slightly oval-shaped narrow side (40cm) and another narrow side whereon a compact step (98x8x40 cm) having two deep recesses (8cm deep) is formed. B) A rectangular frame (35x45cm) made of metal tube (2,5 cm in diameter) the two bigger sides of which are extending out of the frame by 8 cm with the aim to enter the recesses of the plastic part and ensure, thus, the straight positioning of the metal frame. Via the handle provided, we smoothly push the plastic part between body and bed and we fix the metal frame inside the recesses that said plastic part possesses. The void space of the metal frame allows for the free movements of the health care providers. Purpose: to create a steady perpendicular support meant to ensure the unhindered hygienic and pharmaceutical care of the body's sensitive region of bedridden persons.
