Abstract

The invention relates to an electronic, highly-advanced walking stick as an aid for blind people and/or people with reduced eyesight, which is suitable for the detection and recognition of obstaclesthat a person with eyesight problems meets, as wellas for the audio and/or mechanical warning of the person in real time. The present invention consists of a rod (2), at least one handle (3) arranged on the upper end of the rod (2), at least one pattern detection camera (4), at least one central processing unit (9,10), at least one system (6) for infrared detection of obstacles located at small distance, at least one vibrating energy-production generator (7), betteries (8), at least one socket (12) for a multi-plug for electrically connecting the battery charger and various accessories, at least one information vibrator (13), an elastic heel (14) or sliding roller at the lower end of the rod (2), the necessary software stored in a flash memory and a special battery charger.
