Abstract

Motorcycle (10) includes a power unit (18) mounted to the underside of a main frame (12) extending in a rearward and downward direction from a head pipe (11). Rear fork (47) is pivotably mounted to pivot plates (13) provided on a rear portion of themain frame, a rear wheel (46) is supported by the rear fork. Muffler (63) is posotioned between the power unit and the rear wheel and mounted to a lower end portion of one of the pivot plates, and a main stand (68) is pivotably mounted to a lower portion of a vehicle body in front of the muffler.
