The pneumatic piston for breaking the aluminum crust in melting pots, as well as for the transport of the electrical signal from the pot to the rear lid and the sensors consists of the front lid (1), the jacket (2), the shaft (rod) (3), the spring for the transport of the electrical signal (4), the piston (5), the lid (7), the base (22) and the striker system (23). Due to the large length of therod (3) and the lateral tensions that develop, the length of the hub of the front lid (7) and the bearing (10) is double the diameter of the rod (3); for achieving the conduction of the 4V electricalsignal from the molten aluminum the lid (7), a pulling spring (4) connects the lid (7) and the axis of the striker (21), achieving the transportation ofthe electrical signal with the 4V voltage.Forcleaning the rod (3), a divisible mechanical scrapper (13), (14) cleans the rod from ambient waste material, a commercially available cleaning gasket is fitted (11) and the final cleaning is achievedwiththe operation, after its movement of the piston, of compressed air supplied via the nozzle (12) that carries over all remnants of the mechanical scrapping via the opening (20).
