Abstract
This invention is primarily, though not exclusively, concerned with the methods and the devices for the automatic drawing of implantable prosthesis and the method for their creation. The series of two-dimensional representations of the anatomy of organs that derives from the use of medical representation devices is processed by a purpose-developed algorithm, which creates new series of representations of different orientation and dimensions. With the use of these elements, three-dimensional representations of the object/organ are created, with the prosthesis having already been created and attached to the ideal point. The overall procedure takes place without particular human intervention. At the final stage, the three-dimensional representations are exported in a a digital form that is suitable for the creation of stereographic models making use of rapid prototyping (RP) techniques.
