Abstract
The sound reflection loudspeakers as shown on the figure (1) have been designed to produce diffuse sound. Each loudspeaker is composed of the woofer (6) which is fixed on the upper side of the cylindrical loudspeaker (1) to emit sound upwards, and the conical reflactor (4) which is fixed over the woofer and has its top upside down in order to reflect the sound produced by said woofer; this reflactor has on its upper surface the tweeter which is homocentric to the woofer. The sound produced by the tweeter is reflected by the reflactor (2) which is fixed on the tweeter with its top upside down. The sound produced by the soundspeakers, after reflection by the two homocentric cones, is diffused in all directions around the loudspeaker. When the loudspeaker is placed near the wall, the acoustic result is a mixture of on-line sound emitted from the cone, and sound reflected by the wall with 1ms delay. This phenomenon enriches the produced sound which can be compared to that produced in a concert hall. The bass reflex openings (7) enrich further the sound with low frequencies.
