Abstract

998,814. Vapour burners. KARMA (NEW MALDEN) Ltd. June 26, 1961 [March 24, 19601, No. 10429/60. Addition to 839,587. Heading F4T. A vapour burner comprises two perforated shells 2, 3, an imperforate casing 1 and an outer wall 35 mounted on cross-rods 16 and supported on a wick trough 5. The outer wall 35 either rests on an annular tray resting on the wick trough or is turned inwardly at its lower end 36 to bear against the outer perforated shell 3 or against the wick trough. The space within the trough is closed by a perforated or imperforate plate 37 which has an aperture for a central air tube 10. Air is supplied to the air tube 10 and to the inner perforated shell 2 by radial tubes 33. The tube 10 may contain a gauze 38 and may have its lower end cut at an angle. Air ducts may be formed through the wick trough 5.
