994,847. Rotary flowmeters. PRESNA MECHANIKA NARODNY PODNIK. May 21, 1962 [May 22, 1961] No. 19553/62. Heading F1F. A rotary flowmeter comprising a rotary indicator 3 driven by the fluid to be measured and coupled to a counter 4 includes a throttling device constituted by stationary inner and outer portions 2 joined together by ribs 5 and an adjustable deflector 7 to vary the outlet opening of the throttling device to enable the flowmeter to be correctly adjusted in accordance with, e.g., the specific gravity of the fluid being measured, surface roughness of the tubing, gravitational acceleration and expansion coefficients. The adjustable deflector 7 which is held against rotation by the ribs 5 is moved axially by means of a helical groove 8 on rotation of the body section 6. After adjustment the body section 6 may be sealed against unauthorized manipulation by a seal 9.
