Abstract

994,701. Suspended ceilings. M. O. HEMMING. Nov. 9, 1961 [Aug. 31, 1961], No. 40110/61. Heading E1V. In a ceiling suspension system, inverted T-section metal members are secured together by metal brackets 5 which clip over one member at 19 and receive the other member 25 on a projecting arm. The brackets are each provided with a flange 17 and a pawl 13 which fit into grooves adjacent the lower and upper edges of the web of the first member, and a leaf 22 having a projection 23 to engage one of a series of holes 24. The second member 25 is secured by bolts or by crimping it into slots 7 in the projecting bracket arm. Ceiling tiles are attached to the coplanor underfaces of the T-sectioned members.
