[Also in Divisions B4 and B8] A strip C of staple blanks B is held together by a strip of plastic material P which may be heat-sealed to the blanks. The blanks are formed to staples in a stapling machine (see Division B4) and the leading staple S1 is torn from the strip C to be clinched around the two ends of a draw cord to join them.
