Abstract
The invention comprises compounds of the general formula <FORM:0989507/C2/1> in which X represents a halogen-triazine residue bound to the benzene nucleus through a nitrogen atom and a process for the preparation thereof wherein a compound of corresponding formula in which X is an acylatable amino group is reacted with an at least dihalogenated triazine in a molar ratio of about 1 : 1. Preferably X in the product represents a residue of the formula <FORM:0989507/C2/2> in which A represents a residue of a hydroxyl or mercapto compound bound through the oxygen or sulphur atom or more especially an -NH2 group or the residue of an amino compound bound through the nitrogen, which compound, if it is aromatic, advantageously contains a sulphonic acid or carboxylic acid group. In an example 1-hydroxy-2-amino-4-(411-dichloro-611-phenylamino - 11:31:51 - triazine - 211 - yl-amino) 3111,6-disulphonic acid is obtained by reacting 1-hydroxy-2:4-diaminobenzene-6-sulphonic acid with the sodium salt of 2: 4-dichloro-6 - phenylamino - 1 : 3 : 5 - triazine - 31 - sulphonic acid in aqueous solution.
