Abstract

The head of a golf club comprises an injection moulding of plastics material, made in two stages, either by moulding a core first and then moulding a shell on to said core, or by moulding the leading part of the head first and then moulding the rear part on to it. In either case the first moulding is formed with projections for keying the second moulding thereto, and by dividing the manufacture into two stages in this manner a combination of materials may be used in making the head if desired. Recesses for a striking plate, a sole plate, and for weight-reducing purposes, are moulded or machined in the head.
