986,735. Drawer runners. SANKEYSHELDON Ltd. Feb. 5, 1964 [March 2, 1963], No. 8448/63. Heading A4B. A telescopic-slide drawer mounting comprises an outer guide channel 3 for attachment to a stationary frame 4, an intermediate floating slide 2 of channel section slidably supported in the outer guide channel 3 by balls 19, and several separate runner units A for attachment to a side face of a drawer 1 in longitudinallyspaced relation and slidably supported within the intermediate slide 2. The runner units A may either consist of blocks 5 of nylon or similar plastics material, which are D-shaped in plan with a central recess 6 in their curved sides, or circular rollers, of either metallic or non-metallic materials, mounted upon horizontal pins. The blocks 5 or rollers are attached to the side of the drawer 1 by U-shaped brackets 9, which may be separate and secured to the drawer by spot welding, or they may be integral parts of the drawer wall in the form of pressed-out bridge-like parts, Fig. 7 (not shown). The intermediate slide 2 has an opening in its upper flange 16 whereby the runner units A may be inserted.
