Abstract

977,947. Two-part couplings combined with switches. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Jan. 5, 1962 [Feb. 10, 1961], No. 5157/61. Heading H2E. An adaptor (Fig. 2) of the form in which a pair of terminals 9 and 13 between one of the plug pins such as 2 and its corresponding socket 6 facilitate the series interconnection of a current controlling device, e.g. a thermostatic switch, has the terminals held in position within the insulating body of the adaptor by interengagement of an extension 15 of the terminal 9 with a contact strip 12 to which the terminal 13 is either soldered or screwed. An insulating bush 18 and washer 19 maintain insulation between the terminals. A series connected fuse may be fitted between one of the plug pins and its corresponding socket.
