Abstract

977,623. Valves. AMERICAN RADIATOR & STANDARD SANITARY CORPORATION. July 28, 1961 [Aug. 1, 1960], No. 27536/61. Heading F2V. In a faucet the closure member comprises a cup-shaped diaphragm 22 the periphery of which is clamped by a retaining ring 38 held by a stem nut 39 and a clamping nut 35. The actuating stem 23 has a socket 43 which receives a ball 44 of a member 45 having a plate 47 located at the bottom of the diaphragm. The stem 23 is knurled at 25 to receive a handle 26 which is fixed by a screw 28.
