Abstract

976,042. Combine-harvesters. G. CLAAS. Jan. 1, 1963 [Jan. 5, 1962], No. 118/63. Heading A1F. The discharge opening at the base of the grain-tank 11 is provided with means for selectively and detachably attaching either a sack-filling device or a delivery elevator. The tank is fitted with an auger 13, at its base, which passes through the discharge opening. The opening is surrounded by a tubular connecting-piece 17 over which the sleeve 20 of a sack-filling device 21, or the sleeve 22 of a delivery elevator 23 may be slid, and secured by lever clips 24. The shaft 28 of the delivery auger and the shaft 27 of the rotor of a member associated with the sack-filling device each terminate in a coupling 19 which connects to the auger-shaft 14 via a universal joint 18.
