Abstract

975,608. Radio receiver switch - tuning arrangements. C. VICHI. March 13, 1962 [April 21, 1961], No. 9555/62. Heading H3Q. [Also in Division H1] In a tuner circuit selector switch for a television tuner the sets of windings 4-7 are supported on a structure comprising a pair of insulating strips 1, 2 provided with seats for the windings 4-7 and electrical contact strips 3a-3h each contact strip having a head protruding from the strips 1, 2 and a shank interposed between the strips, the supporting structure being held together by the windings wound round the strips 1, 2. The sets of windings are supported by two discs 9, 10, pinned to a shaft 8, the strips 1, 2 passing through apertures 11 and fitting in grooves 12 of the discs 10, 9 respectively. The heads of the contact strips, when rotated by means of shaft 8, engage fixed contacts 13a-13h mounted on two parallel strips of insulating material 14, 15 which strips 14, 15 also support two members 17, 18 comprising the plates of a finetuning capacitor, the capacitance of which is varied by an eccentric dielectric plate 19 fixed to a bushing 20 mounted on shaft 8 and connected to a control knob (not shown). Movement of the turret is controlled by leaf spring 16.
