Abstract

962,929. Adjustable furniture legs. SANKEY-SHELDON Ltd. April 30, 1963 [May 2, 1962], No. 16790/62. Heading A4H. An adjustable foot for a non-circular, e.g. square, sectional furniture leg 1 comprises an upstanding threaded bolt 4 with its lead 4a embedded in a rubber pad 3 of circular cross section and its other end engaged in a nut 5 in the lower end of leg 1, the bolt and pad being screened by a sleeve 6, of similar non-circular section to the leg 1, having an interference fit with the outer surface of the pad 3. The height of the leg 1 is adjusted by raising the sleeve and rotating the pad 3 and bolt 4. The Provisional Specification also refers to legs of circular cross-section.
