A hinged door 1 or window carries metal angle members 24, 32 along one or more edges, which engage curved resilient copper strips 14, 17, 28 and 29 lining grooves 13 and 27 formed in abutment faces 11, 25 of the door or window jambs, lintel or cill, both to form an electromagnetic seal and to act as a draught excluder, and also to act as a door or window catch.
