[Also in Divisions F2 and G3] An anaesthetic apparatus comprises an inlet 1 for a gas such as air, air with cyclopropane or laughing gas, communicating via a throttle valve 3 (see Division F2) with an evaporator 9 and a mixing chamber 7. Connected in parallel with the evaporator 9 is a by-pass 6 in which a second throttle valve 4 is mounted.
