Abstract
966,315. Stacking bricks. MASCHINENFABRIK BACKAU R. WOLF A.G. Feb. 21, 1961 [Feb. 25, 1960], No. 6308/61. Heading B8C. Apparatus for stacking bricks on trolleys includes a depositing table which moves to and fro between a pair of conveyers each having suction grippers. As shown, an assembly consisting of a group of suction grippers 5 is reciprocated horizontally as indicated (Fig. 3). From the left-hand end position A the righthand gripper of the assembly is lowered to pick up a group of bricks from the press 1, the assembly moves to the right to position the next gripper above the press. This gripper picks up a group of bricks and the process continues until the last gripper is above the press. As this last gripper is lowered the others are all also lowered to deposit their bricks on a table 21. The assembly then moves back to the left to deposit a further set of bricks on a table 22. The tables 21, 22 are moved by means of a lever 25 to the position indicated in broken lines (Fig. 1) where they are picked up by suction grippers 15 mounted on a carriage 27 which moves on rails 28 to deposit the bricks on a pair of trolleys 9.
