[Also in Division D1] ] A traveller for textile spinning-apparatus comprises a rod or wire 20 with its ends 28, 29 and shank 26 having coatings of plastics material separated by a thread-engaging part 30, the ends 21, 24 of the rod &c. projecting beyond the coatings. To coat the wire it is placed in registering recesses in injection moulding dies 10, 10<SP>1</SP>, in each of which are arranged replaceable plugs 11, 12, 13, and a gate 37 with branches 38, 39. The plugs have cavities to receive the rod &c. which are enlarged where the coatings are to be formed, the enlarged portions being of the cross-section shown in Fig. 2 to provide a coating of irregular section, part being semicircular and the remainder thicker. A third branch of the gate may communicate with the plug 13.
