A handle for a vehicle, has a flexible hand grip 1 comprising a steel band core 3 sheathed in a plastics material 2 and having its ends in recesses 13 in mounting member 6, the steel core extending into a cavity 5; and fixing screws 11, 12 pass through bores in the mounting and the core. A pin 14 prevents the material 2 from being pulled off core 3. A cover 15 has ribs 17, 18 which are slid into recesses 19, 20 in the walls of member 6, Fig. 6, and a tab 23 snaps over an edge 25 of member 6 to prevent accidental removal of the cover.
