Abstract

A disconnectible neutral conductor terminal block comprises a neutral bar 3 supported on a base 1 and on to which are threaded or snapped individual terminal carriers 6, each comprising an insulating body having a terminal connector 11, Fig. 2, adapted at one end to receive a neutral lead, which is clamped by a screw 12, and having at the other end a disconnecting screw 14 which when tightened presses a spring blade 15 on to the bar 3 to connect the lead to the bar and when unscrewed breaks such connection. The body shown is threaded on the bar but may have an opening at the bottom containing a spring blade, which may bo integral -with blade 15, whereby the body may be snapped on to the bar (Fig. 3, not shown). Blade 15 may be omitted and a pressure member on screw 14 screwed down on to the bar 3 directly (Fig. 4, not shown).
