Abstract

The invention comprises N-(4-diethylaminobutyl)-salicylamide and O-acylates thereof, and their citrates. They may be prepared from the acid chlorides and 4-diethylamino-butylamine. Examples are given. The amides of the invention, which are analgesics, may be made up into pharmaceutical compositions, e.g. pills, suppositories or injectable solutions, with suitable carriers. German Specification 1,098,001 is referred to.
