A bearing arrangement for the main shaft 12 of a turbine comprises a bearing bracket 11 which is integral with the turbine casing 10, wherein a rotating fan-type part 21 attached to the main shaft end 12 produces a circulation 23 of coolant such as air axially through aperture 20 around the bearing housing 15 to outlets 24.
