Abstract

Apparatus for the continuous drying of air (and other gases) comprises a box structure divided into upper and lower chambers, means for forcing the air to be dried at a positive pressure downwards through a bed of desiccant contained within one chamber, means for drawing air at a negative pressure upwards through a desiccant contained within the other chamber for the reactivation thereof, reciprocable valve means adapted for alternating operation so as to provide that, as the air to be dried is forced through the desiccant in one chamber, air for reactivation is drawn through the desiccant in the other chamber, and time actuated control means for determining the operation of the reciprocable valve means.
