Abstract

A cord comprises a textile centre strand e.g. a sliver, yarn, twine, rope or cord of man-made, vegetable e.g. hemp, or mineral fibres, around which is wound extruded separate filaments or a continuous tube of unsintered polytetrafluoroethylene. The cord may be used for lubricating and scaling threaded joints, or woven or braided to form jointing and packing material.
