A structural member for constructing frames comprises parallel channels 1<SP>1</SP> spaced apart and open towards each other and secured together by clamps 6. The flanges 2 of the channels may be of salient V-section as in Fig. 9, re-entrant V-section, or flat and the web may be of V-section or curved. Square and hexagonal members are shown made of four and six channels. The member may be an upright carrying a bracket which is part of one of the clamp parts.
