942,129. Grommets. H. G. MILES Ltd., and AUSTIN MOTOR CO. Ltd. Jan. 6, 1960 [Feb. 16, 1959], No. 5255/59. Heading H2E. [Also in Division F2] A grommet 9 comprises a tubular body 1 and a head 3 with flange 4, there being an annular groove 5 between head and body. In use, the grommet is pressed into a hole in a panel so that the panel edge enters the groove to distort the head and seal the flange against the panel. The flexible funnel around aperture 8 seals against a cable passing therethrough.
