Abstract
948,075. Burners. GOLD STAR OELFEUERUNGS-ORGANISATION G.m.b.H. Aug.10, 1960 [Aug. 11, 1959; March 21, 1960], No. 27763/60. Heading F4T. A burner for gaseous or liquid fuel comprises a fuel nozzle 16 concentrically mounted in a converging air nozzle 2 and an axially adjustable, annular member 3 mounted in the space between the fuel and air nozzles and having a diverging outlet. The bore of the annular member supports a whirling plate 4 having a central opening and a plurality of inclined radial slots. The annular member is secured by spacers 5 to a brush 6 adjustably secured by a screw 15 to the fuel pipe 7. A rod 9 is secured to the fuel pipe and extends through the rear wall of the burner casing 1. An adjusting nut 8 on the rod is held between a stirrup 10 and the rear wall. The fuel pipe passes through an elongated aperture 19 in the burner casing and carries a plate 20 covering the aperture 19. A pointer 13 on the fuel pipe moves over a scale 12. Air is supplied through a port 21. An oil burner, Fig. 4 (not shown), comprises a casing having a lockable cover and containing a blower, an ignition transformer, a flame detector and a control device. The burner air nozzle projects from the casing and the nut for adjusting the position of the fuel nozzle and the annular member disposed between the fuel and air nozzles is covered by a hinged hood secured by a screw sealed by a lead wire. The burner is ignited by electrodes.
