Abstract

946,194. Injection moulding. ECKERT & ZIEGLER G.m.b.H. Oct. 3, 1962 [Nov. 16, 1961], No. 37435/62. Heading B5A. An injection moulding machine of the screwtype has a device for ejecting the screw or cylinder from the machine. The ejection device consists of a piston 6 mounted in a cylinder 5 formed in an hydraulic piston 1 which is used to move the injection unit towards and away from the mould. The piston 6 passes through the centre of a drive unit 4 for the screw 2 and its end 8 abuts against an end 7 of the screw. When the piston 6 moves to the left it pushes the screw 2 out of the cylinder 3. By inserting a disc 10 between the end 8 of the piston and an end 9 of the cylinder the ejector may also be used to eject the cylinder.
