945,329. Infra - red sighting equipment. ELTRO G.m.b.H. April 21, 1961 [April 21, 1960 (2)], No. 14585/61. Addition to 919,698. Heading H4F. [Also in Division F3] Lighting equipment for a portable fire-arm comprises an infra-red sight 4, Fig. 1, supported by its feet 3 on a support 2 mounted over the breech plate 1 and a housing 6 attached along one side of the sight 4 and containing all the elements of a miniature high tension supply system required to operate the electronoptical image converter of the sight. This supply system is adapted to be energized by a low voltage supply source. An infra-red searchlight 5 is mounted on the sight 4. In a modification the housing 6, Fig. 3, is replaced by a hollow foot 8 of the searchlight 5 which encloses a space 9 for receiving the high tension supply system.
