Abstract

944,854. Card clothing. T. M. M. (RESEARCH) Ltd. Aug. 16, 1962 [May 26, 1961], No.19155/61. Heading D1N. Card wire for doffer cylinders has teeth with an angle of rake that does not exceed 60 degrees, a density not greater than 12 teeth per inch and a length not less than 3 millimetres measured from base to tip along a line normal to the longitudinal axis of the wire. A preferred embodiment has 10 teeth per inch, a length D of 3.5 millimetres, overall height of wire of 4 millimetres, thickness of teeth at the top of 0. 17 inch and of the base of 0.0315 inch, and an angle of rake of 56 degrees.
