Abstract

931,932. Transistor mono-stable circuits. GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION. March 8, 1962 [March 13, 1961], No. 8934/62. Class 40 (6). [Also in Group XXVII] The conduction of an ignition pulse producing transistor 92 is controlled by a monostable circuit 66, 74 controlled by voltage pulses generated in the pick-up coil 32. The time at which the transistors 74 and 92 are rendered non-conductive depends on the R.C. time constant of the resistor 90 and capacitor 84 because capacitor 84 discharges through a path which includes the resistor 90, the battery 58, and the emitter to collector circuit of the transistor 66. The invention relates to ignition systems (see also Group XXVII).
