Abstract
931,809. Kinematographic juke-boxes. SOC. INTERNAZIONALE FONOVISIONE. Sept. 4, 1959 [Sept. 4, 1958], No. 30307/59. Class 40 (2). [Also in Group XX] A kinematrographic juke-box feeds a film p initially at high speed between reels 1, 5 under the action of motors 6, 7, a controller 3, driven by the film, detecting the start of a desired portion of the film and switching the apparatus to the state shown in the Figure where arms 4 guide the film over a projector 8 and drive it, the motors now feeding the film at projection speed. At the end of the desired portion, the controller 3 stops the machine. Associated sound is provided by a track on the film or by separate means synchronized with the film. The apparatus is mounted in a selfcontained cabinet incorporating a screen and selection is made by user-operated controls including coin-freed mechanism associated with the controller 3.
