931,430. Electrostatic precipitation. H. BRANDT, [trading as APPARATEBAU ROTHEMUHLE DR. BRANDT & CO.]. Oct. 18, 1960 [Nov. 4, 1959], No. 35768/60. Class 117. The vertical plates 1 of an electrostatic precipitator are rapped by two sets of rapping anvils 6, 7 actuated on opposite sides of the plates by hammers or spring-loaded beaters 10. The two sets of anvils are disposed respectively at onethird and two-thirds of the height of the plates. Several rows of plates are provided with a corresponding number of sets of anvils at each level.
