Abstract

931,121. Vehicle stands. MASSEY-FERGUSON S.A. Nov. 5, 1959 [Nov. 8, 1958], No. 35914/58. Class 79(3). [Also in Group XXXII] A trailer implement having normal ground wheels 11 (see Group XXXII) may be fitted on its other long sides with removable wheels 16 so that the width of the trailer then becomes the length. The wheels 16 are mounted on cranked arms 15, 17 connected by an axle 14 contained by bearings 25 fixed or removably attached to the trailer, so that by chocking the wheels at 18 and pulling on a chain 19 attached to the arms 17 the trailer may be lifted from its normal wheels 11 for movement on the auxiliary wheels 16. The bearings 25 may be removably or fixedly attached to the trailer chassis and are slotted to receive the axle 14, the slots being open at the left. hand side. The slots are closed by pins 28 when the axle is in position, and tie rods 31 may be connected at 32 to the chassis to hold the wheels in an over-centre position.
