Abstract

930,411. Stackable boxes. BRADLEY & CO. Ltd. Jan. 24, 1962, No. 2543/62. Class 18. [Also in Group XXII] A rectangular metal sheet, Fig. 2, is pressed to form the back and side walls of a stackable box having access from the front. The edges a<SP>2</SP>, a<SP>3</SP>, c<SP>2</SP> are folded over and tongues a<SP>6</SP> are pierced at spaced points. A V-shaped channel a<SP>4</SP>, a<SP>5</SP> provides a support for a similar box. On pressing the side walls a, c at right angles to the back wall b, pleats d protrude inwardly. These pleats d are turned against the back wall b and the tongues a<SP>6</SP> are spot welded to the channel a<SP>4</SP>, a<SP>5</SP>. Perforations a<SP>7</SP> facilitate handling of the blank with a suitable tool. A member e having a forward part e<SP>1</SP> is spot welded to form the box base.
