Abstract

939,694. Rotary furnaces. FREDERICK PARKER Ltd. Feb. 12, 1962 [Feb. 28, 1961], No. 7338/61. Class 51 (2). [Also in Group XIII] A rotary furnace 1, Fig. 1, has a circular bearing-ring or roller path 4 for location on supporting rollers 3 and secured thereto by fastening assemblies 5. Each assembly comprises a pair of spaced parallel wedge pieces 6, 6<SP>1</SP>, Fig. 3, secured to a plate 7 on the drum which is in sliding contact with wedge pieces 8, 8<SP>1</SP> secured to the path 4, the pieces 6, 6<SP>1</SP> having a slot 10 to receive a pin 11 on a link 12 slidingly accommodated between the pieces 6, 6<SP>1</SP> and welded to the pieces 8, 8<SP>1</SP> to link the assembly together.
