[Also in Groups I and XIII] A kitchen installation comprises in combination a cover 1 formed with a sink and drawing board and a tiltable kitchen unit 4 or units, for example, an oven, refrigerator or boiler, built in the base structure thereof beneath the cover 1 and tiltable on a base frame 3 by means of a bottom bearing part situated in front of the centre of gravity S of the unit 4 or units, and a stop member, adapted to engage an upper portion of the unit 4 or units forming a stop part preventing it or them from tilting back. In the form shown the base frame is U-shaped and of metal, the side walls 2 of the installation being secured on the side arms 3a, the supporting part of a pivot bearing 6 being a rib 7 on the main part 3b (Figs. 1 to 3). The stop part (e.g. 8 in Fig. 3) is detachably fixed to the stop member on the cover 1 when the unit is in the innermost position. Six arrangements are shown (Figs. 3, 4a-4d, and 7). The pivot bearing 6 may be formed by at least one recess on the base of the unit 4 and at least one projecting part 23 on the frame 3 (Fig. 5a) or by a groove on the frame 3 and a round head or heads on the base of the unit 4.
