[Also in Group XL (c)] In a series voltage control system having a plurality of transistors VT1-VT4 with their input and output electrodes in a series chain with VT4 as the control transistor, transistors VT1-VT3 are connected to a potential divider and equalizing network R1-R4 through amplifying transistors VT5-VT7 to compensate for variations in drive signal due to variations of current in the potential divider. The transistors VT5-VT7 may, in turn, be controlled by further amplifying transistors, connected to the divider, which allows the resistance of the divider to be increased.
