Abstract
Gibberellines are obtained from a culture medium containing them, by adding to said culture medium a hydroxide or salt of an alkaline earth metal to precipitate acids and impurities in said medium, filtering, removing excess precipitant from the filtrate by passage over a cation-exchange resin, and thereafter adsorbing said gibberellines on an anion-exchange resin. As precipitant, baryta water may be used. Specification 936,549 is referred to.
