Abstract

935,409. Curtain rails. KIRSCH CO. Jan. 31, 1962 [April 13, 1961], No. 3740/62. Class 52 (5). A carrier 10 having a roller engaging a pair of parallel rails 27, 28 comprises a body member 36 with a central opening 37, a hanger 38, and bearing balls 63 between a roller 55 and the inner wall of the opening 37 which are retained in position by annular flanges 58, 59 on the roller trapped within annular flanges 39, 42 of the body 36. A drape may be suspended from such hangers 38 by means of pins passing through holes 43. The track 11 has two slotted passageways 12 and 13 separated by a partition 16, and has a lip 33 and recess 32 for mounting the track. Four coplanar abutments 48, 49, 50 and 51 extend from the sides of the body 36 and prevent the carrier from swinging into the passage 13. Plastic material or metal may be used for construction, e.g. nylon.
