Abstract

934,312. Furniture combinations. J. H. DIAZ MIRON. Jan. 2, 1962 [Feb. 21, 1961], No. 97/62. Class 52 (3). [Also in Group XXXIII] A chair which can be dropped from an aircraft in an emergency has a compartment 9 housing a parachute attached to the chair at points 10, 11, 12, 13. Closure means for the compartment is operable from the seat. The seat has passenger fastening belts and may have an automatically inflatable pneumatic float. Each leg 8 of the chair has a roller (not shown) or other means enabling the chair to slide or roll on rails in the aircraft, to facilitate discharge of the chair.
