Abstract

923,009. Feeding cigarettes. A. SCHMERMUND, [trading as MASCHINENFABRIK ALFRED SCHERMUND]. July 19, 1960, No. 25118/60. Class 78 (1). Cigarettes are discharged from hopper 17 by rotating rollers 8 operated by rack-and-pinion 9, 10 and fall down shoots 6, 7 whence they are discharged simultaneously as two batches by slides 15, 16 into corresponding containers 1 carried by drum (or endless chain) 3. The drum 3 steps the containers 1 round till each container in turn is discharged by the pushers 21 of endless chain conveyer 22 and the cigarettes are pushed along plates 25.
