[Also in Group XXV] A label holder comprises a plate 1 adapted to hold on its front face a label 3 or the like or to carry an inscription and which has projecting rearwardly from its rear face, a pair of arms 5 which are adapted to engage on opposite sides of a part of an article to which the label or inscription is to be applied so as to secure the holder to the article wherein the arms are formed adjacent their rear ends with a pair of holes or recesses which are together adapted to receive a single belt or rivet passing through part of the article or to engage projections provided on opposite sides of the article in order to position the holder on the article. As shown, in which the holder is applied to a press, the extremities of the arms 5 are apertured for a bolt or stud and the side and bottom edges of the plate 1 are bent over to form a rim for retaining the label 3. The holder may be made wholly or in part of material other than metal and the shape of the plate may be other than that shown. A circular plate, Fig. 2 (not shown) is provided with a screw which is hinged, screwed, clipped or otherwise attached to the plate the cover being partly or wholly of transparent material, or being in the form of a screwed ring or bezel. In another form, Fig. 3 (not shown), the plate which is similar to that of Fig. 1 includes a pair of bendable lugs which are arranged to engage over the top edge of the label.
