Abstract

921,243. Coin-freed vending machines. FARROW & JACKSON Ltd. Dec. 2, 1960 [Dec. 2, 1959], No. 41028/59. Class 27. [Also in Group XXX] In a coin-freed vending machine, milk cartons 12 slide down fixed helix 5 under the control of rotor 7 and are discharged one by one at the bottom by the rotor. When the rotor is empty it may be withdrawn for refilling, being detachable at the top by a coupling 10d from driving gear 26 and being slidable at the bottom on feet along a groove 10b. As shown in Fig. 10, two such rotors are positionable side by side being driven from motor 33 via respective gears 26. The cartons are cooled by fan 34 and are discharged through aperture 4c into pivoted bin 39. Specifications 921,241 and 921,242 are referred to.
