Abstract

920,596. Barrels. FIRESTONE TIRE & RUBBER CO. July 6, 1961 [Nov. 4, 1960], No. 24451/61. Class 66. A barrel having a tap fitting 26 in a domeshaped end wall 12 comprises at least two separate chimes, each partially encircling the end wall and formed in one piece. The chimes are spot-welded at 32 to the barrel, which is of stainless steel, and they may be either stamped from a single sheet of metal or moulded. The end parts 14 and 18 of the barrel are fusion-welded to the middle section 16.
